Waste data is collected on the basis of Regulation No. 2 of the Minister of the Environment from 11.01.2002 “Form and order of submission of waste report”.
Waste report should be submitted by:
- operators having received waste permit on the basis of § 30 sections 3 and 7 of the Waste Act
- persons dealing with recycling or immediate disposal of non-hazardous waste, to whom according to § 30 section 4 of the Waste Act the requirement for possession of waste permit does not extend, but who are registered according to section 5
- persons organising disposal or recycling of waste on behalf of others (intermediaries), who are registered according to § 30 section 5 of the Waste Act
- producers of hazardous waste, except households
Waste Data Management System includes information about:
- Type of waste produced and handled in Estonia
- Amount of waste
- Origin of waste
- Persons dealing with waste handling
- Waste handling sites for waste disposal
- Imported-exported waste
Available data includes Estonia in general and counties and rural municipalities. Data by single reporters is released only for departmental use.
